Asturian-American Painters Showcased in GSC Gallery
دمهْض±²¥ State College is currently showcasing the paintings of artist Art Wagner, but with a twist. His exhibit also includes pieces by his mother Honnie Wagner and his grandfather Emilio Alvarez for a dynamic show that encompasses around 100 years of culture and history in West Virginia's Asturian communities that got their start in the early 1900s. The show is on display in the GSC Fine Arts Center Spears Gallery and an opening reception is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
GSC Fall 2014 Provost's Honor List Announced
The دمهْض±²¥ State College Fall 2014 Provost's Honor List has been announced. To be named to the list, students must have grade point averages between 3.5 and 3.9 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

The دمهْض±²¥ State College Fall 2014 President's Honor List has been announced. To be named to the list, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.
Premium Night Scheduled for January 21st at GSC
The public is invited to Mollohan's Restaurant at دمهْض±²¥ State College on Wednesday, January 21st from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. for the January Premium Night.
GSC Student Named Outstanding Accounting Senior in WV
The West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants has selected GSC student Ashley Woodford as their Outstanding Accounting Senior. The annual award recognizes seniors majoring in accounting from colleges and universities across West Virginia.
GSC Group Presents at National Conference
دمهْض±²¥ State College students and professors recently presented at the International Writing Centers Association (IWCA) and the National Council of Peer Tutors of Writing (NCPTW) joint three-day conference held at Walt Disney World's Coronado Springs Resort in Florida. Assistant Professors of English Dr. Marjorie Stewart and Dr. Melody Wise along with students Larissa DeLuca and Annetta Snyder presented a 75-minute session at the event.
دمهْض±²¥ State College Well Represented at WVRA
دمهْض±²¥ State College students and faculty took part in the West Virginia Reading Association's (WVRA) 59th Annual State Conference at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs in late November. The conference theme, 'Reading with the Arts: Off the Charts,' honored the arts and their connection to literacy.
Dawson Scholarship Established at GSC
The دمهْض±²¥ State College Foundation is pleased to announce the formation of the Bill and Patsy (Garrett) Dawson Scholarship. This scholarship, which is designed to support GSC students in the education and physical education fields, was funded with life insurance proceeds upon the passing of Mr. Dawson in November of 2014.
GSC's Early Education Student Group Participates in the Gift of Giving
Members of the دمهْض±²¥ State College Early Education Student Group recently compiled gift boxes for the First Baptist Church of دمهْض±²¥'s Shoebox Ministry. The 15 donated Christmas packages were filled with items for children in Gilmer County.
