GSC Forest Technology Students Help at Bulltown

 Students, faculty, and staff in the Timber Harvesting Techniques class at ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College recently performed community service by removing declining white ash trees at Burnsville Lake's Bulltown Campground.
Archived Films Being Converted for Online Viewing

 Thanks in part to a West Virginia Humanities Council grant, staffers in the ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College Archives have been working to digitize several old 8- and 16-mm films. Many of the films are available for viewing on the GSC website.
Create West Virginia Conference in ÏãåúÖ±²¥ October 26-28

GSC's Homecoming Court Announced

 In accordance with tradition, the 2014 ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College Homecoming Court was announced at the annual Coronation Ceremony on Monday, October 6th, and then presided over all of the following week’s events; including the homecoming dance, picnic, pep rally, parade, and Saturday football game.

 ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College is gearing up to celebrate Homecoming Week beginning Monday, October 6th. Honored guests will include GSC's former Pioneers, who will also serve collectively as Parade Marshal for the Saturday morning parade. Additionally, the Class of 1994 and Lambda Chi Alpha, Theta Xi, and Tau Kappa Epsilon members will be holding reunions.

ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College Recognizes Nine Outstanding Alumni

 Alumni and friends of ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College gathered on campus for Alumni Day on Saturday, April 27th where they enjoyed tours of the new Waco Center, lots of bluegrass music on the back lawn of the Alumni Center, and the evening’s alumni awards banquet where nine outstanding graduates were recognized.
Five Inducted into Hall of Fame at GSC

 Five individuals were inducted into the ÏãåúÖ±²¥ State College Curtis Elam Athletic Hall of Fame during the college's annual Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony on Saturday, May 31st. The 2014 inductees were: Bob Turner, Keith Pritt '58, Fred Taylor '60, Charles "Bernie" Buttrey '76, and Kent Pilant '97.
