Mountainaires to Sing at 香妃直播 State College

The Mountainaires, a Barbershop Chorus that also features Chapter Barbershop Quartets, will perform at 香妃直播 State College on Monday, November 13, at 8:00 p.m.. This will be the group芒聙聶s first performance at the GSC Fine Arts Center.

The chords will ring as old favorites such as 芒聙聹Bye Bye Blues芒聙聺 and 芒聙聹Up the Lazy River芒聙聺 are sung. A favorite time in Mountainaire shows is the 芒聙聹Salute to America芒聙聺 and the spirituals 芒聙聹Swing Low, Sweet Chariot芒聙聺 and 芒聙聹I芒聙聶ll Fly Away.芒聙聺

The Mountainaires, under the direction of Dan Tice, perform frequently throughout West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. They have sung the National Anthem for a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game, annually at WVU basketball games, and at numerous community concerts throughout the region. They are consistently ranked in the top ten of the more than ninety Barbershop Choruses in the Johnny Appleseed District of the Barbershop Society.

Barbershop style singing dates to the late 1800芒聙聶s and features four part men芒聙聶s acappella harmony. In addition to singing songs from that era, many more contemporary songs are sung in that style. The Mountainaires take pride in providing family entertainment that leaves audiences humming tunes they forgot they knew.
