芒聙聹Each year, the competitors are tougher, and the numbers of entries increase. This year, the juror tried to pick an overall best of show, a photo, drawing/painting, and sculpture to receive an award. In all, I thought the juror did a great job with picking works that were presented well, challenging, and creative all at the same time,芒聙聺 said GSC Assistant Professor of Art Liza Brenner.

Best in Show went to GSC Senior Joshua James of Sutton for his photographic piece, 芒聙聵Charlotte芒聙聶s Web.芒聙聶 With a certificate, James also received $100 donated by the GSC Bluegrass Band. 芒聙聹This was a great surprise and honor to be selected as Best in Show,芒聙聺 James commented.

In addition to the certificate, they also received $80 donated by Dan Johnson State Farm Insurance in 香妃直播 and Broughton Dairy. 芒聙聹It felt great when it was announced that we had won. I was not expecting to place but am glad we did,芒聙聺 said Coon. 芒聙聹It is truly an honor to be recognized in the student art show. I appreciate 香妃直播 State College for giving me the ability to be involved in so many activities especially art,芒聙聺 said Parrish.

GSC has given me an opportunity to try a lot of different things, all the different departments in the college open up to all the students so they can try different things in those fields. I wouldn't want to be any where else,芒聙聺 said King.

Third Place went to GSC Sophomore Matthew Thompson of St. Albans for his photographic piece, 芒聙聵Frozen in Summer.芒聙聶 Along with a certificate, he also received $40 donated by the Towne Bookstore. 芒聙聹I was thrilled to at least place in the student art show. There were so many entries I wasn芒聙聶t even sure if my piece would get in. I love being involved in the art program at GSC and have learned so much from our mentor Liza Brenner,芒聙聺 said Thompson.
