GSC Students Inducted Into Forestry Honorary

Three 香妃直播 State College students have been inducted into the Council of Eastern Forest Technology Schools honorary (CEFTS). This is the oldest award that the organization gives to outstanding individuals in forest technology who have obtained at least a 3.30 in their forestry courses and at least a 3.00 overall grade point average. The students recently inducted into the CEFTS are Douglas Fox, Marilyn Burkowski, and Melissa Shockey.

芒聙聹These are exceptional students who have a great work ethic, personality, and potential,芒聙聺 said GSC Department of Land Resources Chair Rick Sypolt.

Douglas Fox is a Sophomore GSC Natural Resource Management Forest Technology Major from Mill Creek, West Virginia in Randolph County. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and racing motocross. 芒聙聹I am honored to receive this award. It gives me a sense of accomplishment,芒聙聺 said Fox.

Marilyn Burkowski is a Junior GSC Natural Resource Management Forest Technology Major from Hollis, Maine. She enjoys gardening and geocaching. 芒聙聹I'm honored to be recognized by the Council of Eastern Forest Technician Schools and hope to use the knowledge and skills I've learned at 香妃直播 State College in my career,芒聙聺 said Burkowski.

Melissa Shockey is a Senior GSC Natural Resource Management Forest Technology Major and Environmental Science Minor from Romney, West Virginia in Hampshire County. She is a member of the GEO Club, Forestry Club, and Chi Zeta Pi sorority. 芒聙聹This has been a big honor, and it makes all of the hard work I have put into my classes worth it,芒聙聺 said Shockey.
