GSC Spring Concert Band Performance

香妃直播 WV 鈥 Members of the 香妃直播 State College Concert Band will be performing their spring concert on Friday, April 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

鈥淲e are playing a well-rounded program that will feature many wonderful works,鈥 said Lloyd Bone, GSC Fine Arts Department Chair, Concert Band Director, and Assistant Professor of Music. The band members will be performing 鈥楢mparito Roca,鈥 鈥楨mperata Overture,鈥 鈥楾he Walking Frog,鈥 鈥楪ettysburg,鈥 鈥楥aribbean Fantasy,鈥 and a world premiere composition by GSC Jazz Band Director and Assistant Professor of Music Education Dr. David Lewis.

One of the works will feature one of GSC鈥檚 Faculty Emeriti, Harry Rich, who was a music professor at GSC for twenty years before retiring in 2004. He recently returned to the campus to teach trumpet at GSC as an adjunct professor. Rich will be on stage with the band during the concert playing a trumpet solo. He will perform 鈥淐harlier Etude No. Two鈥 arranged by 2012 GSC music education graduate Jared Young of Summersville (Nicholas County), West Virginia.
