Dr. Kincaid芒聙聶s interest and expertise on the subject is a result of his Doctoral Dissertation, which studied the characteristics of the Eastern Hemlock forests in the southern Appalachians.

The October 2007 edition of Two-Lane Livin, a new monthly magazine serving central West Virginia, includes one of Dr. Kincaid芒聙聶s articles discussing the threat of the Woolly Adelgid, an Asian insect on the Eastern Hemlock.
